Obituary of Richard J. White

Richard "Dick" White, age 89 of New Castle died, March 29, 2017 in Jameson Hospital. Dick was born January 29, 1928, in Beaver Falls and was the son of the late John and Grace Tucker White. Dick was a member of the Blind Association of New Brighton, the Riverside Lions Club and had worked for the New Brighton Borough Sanitation Department retiring after 20 years of service. He was a U. S. Army Veteran having served during WWII. Dick is survived by 2 sons and one daughter, Daniel John White, New Brighton, Richard Roy "Ricky" (Janet) White, New Galilee and Lucinda "Cindy" (George) McNary, New Castle, 8 grandchildren, Danny Joslin, Tabitha White, Timothy Joslin, John White, Danielle White, Daniel White, Keith Hall and Rachel McNary Wilson, 21 great grandchildren, a brother Dwain R. White, Ling Island, NY, a niece Juanita, WV and a nephew Thomas, IN. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Mae Shaffer White, a son Larry White and a brother Ronald J. White. Visitation will be Monday, April 3, 2017 6-8pm in the A D Campbell Funeral Home, 8th Ave and 14th Street (campbellfuneralhomes.com) where prayers will be conducted Tuesday at 9:20 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Monica Parrish College Hill Site. Father Kim J. Schreck will celebrate the mass. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver Boro. Full military honors will be conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard Tuesday at 11:15 AM at the cemetery.
