Mary Elizabeth Sumner, 70, of Chippewa Twp., Pa, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Hospital, following an extended illness. Born March 10, 1951 in Beaver Falls, Pa to the late Daniel W. and Doris (McCowin) Sumner, Sr. She was a long time member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Darlington, the Beaver Heritage Society and American Legion Post 19. She is survived by her life partner, David Truchan; brother and sister in law, Daniel & Kerry Sumner, Jr.; sister in law, Patty Sumner; Dean & Jacqueline Truchan; and many close cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Sumner and nephew, Brian Sumner. There will be a visitation on Wednesday July 14, 2021 from 10 am - 12 pm at First United Presbyterian Church, 3385 Old Darlington Road, Darlington, Pa 16115 with a service to follow at 12 pm with Reverend C.F. Hoffman officiating. Procession to Beaver Falls Cemetery will follow. Please send all flowers directly to the church.
