Obituary of Alice Elizabeth Hunt
Alice Elizabeth (Gallagher) Hunt, 72, of Chippewa Township passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 in Beaver Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in South Beaver Twp.
Born March 9, 1947 in Rochester, PA , she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Radcliffe) Gallagher and the wife of the late David R. Hunt, Sr. who died Dec. 4, 2009. Alice had worked as a receptionist/secretary for Westinghouse, a real estate agent for Northwood Realty and as a waitress at the Copper Dog in Bridgewater, PA. She was a member of the Rochester First Baptist Church.
Alice loved her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and reading mystery books. She had the biggest heart and was always there for anyone to lean on. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Dianne Yurkiw, and a daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Timothy Richards, West Mayfield; grandchildren; Kevin (Ashton) Yurkiw, Ellwood City, Karen (Codi) Jackson, North Sewickley Twp, Ryan O' Hara, Darlington, Alianna Tomeo, Darlington, Miranda , Damian, Connor, Fred and Mayve Richards all of West Mayfield; a brother, Alan (Terri) Gallagher, Rochester, 8 great-grandchildren: Tristan, Landon, Jensen, Joseph, Jeffrey, William, Sophia and Michelle; 3 nephews, Adam, Cory (Karly), and Derek Gallagher
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Sean O'Hara.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM in the Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road, where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 10:00 AM with Reverend Bob Saul officiating.
Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
