Obituary of Alleyne M Baumgartner

As Alleyne Marie Baumgartner, 98, entered Heaven on June 13, 2019, she heard the words from her Lord, "Well done good and faithful servant."

Alleyne grew up on the rural farm of Buford and Flora Abbott in Johannesburg, MI. Following high school, she trained to become an RN at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Her last professional nursing work was completed at the Veteran's Hospital in Dearborn, MI as a surgical nurse.  

Alleyne, her husband Joseph and her four children lived in Redford Township, MI where the children grew up.

Neighbors, friends and family always knew where to find first aid and medical advice. She cared for many who were seriously ill and/or at the end of their life including 8 years of loving care for her husband, a stroke victim.

Throughout her life, Alleyne was an avid Bible reader and a great "prayer warrior." While living in MI, she served as a church deacon, Bible study leader and Sunday School teacher.

Her compassion was evident in her numerous get well and sympathy cards she sent. In addition, she frequently made phone calls checking on the health or welfare of individuals.

Alleyne was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her brothers Robert, Kenneth, and Leslie Abbott.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Bessette, Fair Groves, MO.  

Allenyne's children and grandchildren include, Carolyn, Robert and Barbara (Chad, Marcy Rader, Jill Haught, Sara Diamond, Ryan, Nicole Camp, and Amy) , Mary and John Williamson (Ben, Tammy Lembo) Donna and the late Dana Stoddard (Matthew, David, Kristen Chandler, and Brian) and 34 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express grateful appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Allegheny General Hospital who compassionately and with dignity cared for Alleyne at the end of her earthly life.

Friends will be received Friday, June 21, from 6-8 PM at Campbell's Funeral Home, 1326 8th Avenue, Beaver Falls. A 10:00 AM funeral service will be conducted Saturday, June 22 at the College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church, 3217 College Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
