Obituary of Denise A. Jones

Denise Alva Jones (Goosby), 62, of Beaver Falls, PA passed away peacefully on June 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 8, 1957 in Beaver, PA, she was a daughter of the late Oliver “Ollie” Goosby Sr. and Nellie Dennis Goosby. Affectionately known as “Mama D”, she was a pillar in the community; known for opening her doors to everyone and anyone in need.

In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by her son, Keith Robert Kimbrough, a step-son, Demetrius Schofield and brothers Keith Robert Goosby, Fate Goosby, and a beloved sister-in-law, Regina (Hicks) Goosby.

She leaves behind the love of her life for over 23 years, Roosevelt (Bill) Schofield and her children, April Denise Armstead and her husband Johnathan Armstead of Corona, CA;  Aiesha Jones of  New Brighton, Aliah Jones of Pittsburgh and Richard (Ricky) Jones, Jr. of Beaver Falls. She also was the mother of step-children Maria Schofield, Billy Schofield, Travis Schofield, Roszone Schofield and Jordan (Jay Scho) Schofield of Beaver Falls, Kourtney Schofield of Pittsburgh, Debbie Schofield and Hanako Schofield. She also leaves behind siblings Oliver “Ollie” Goosby and his wife Margie Goosby of New Brighton, Leroy Goosby of Rochester, John Goosby, Franklin Goosby, Joan George and Bernice Walker of Beaver Falls; and God-Children Lana Carter and Kijafa Carter of Beaver Falls, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, 1326 8th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. A service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday morning at 11 AM with Elder Rachel Armstead officiating.
