Obituary of Helen Marie Hinds
Helen Marie Hinds, age 78, of Lisbon, OH passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Salem Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 1, 1941 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Helen Marie (Sheets) Curry, and wife to Thomas M. Hinds.
She was a bakery clerk earlier in life, which was around the time she met her husband, through her brother Bert, Thomas M. Hinds of almost 60 years. She was also an avid bingo player and continued working for different bakeries on and off throughout her life. She was a devoted charter member of the Little Beaver Lioness Club, which she was a member for 36 years, but her most cherished position she held was being a homemaker. She loved her family and delighted in spoiling her children as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen was a quiet and reserved woman, but her loving actions towards her family and friends spoke volumes. Helen will be deeply missed by many.
Surviving is her husband; Thomas M. Hinds, 3 Children; Craig (“Gigi”) Hinds, Diana (George) Souders, Barbara George, Daughter-in-law; Susan Hinds (wife of the late David Hinds), 2 Brothers; Bertram and Thomas, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Son; David Hinds, 2 Sisters; Margaret and Marion, and 2 Brothers; Charles and Ron.
Family and Friends will be received Tuesday, April 30 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road, Chippewa Twp., PA 15010. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1 at 10AM in the Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
