Mildred "Midge" Rieseck, age 101, of Chippewa Township, passed away on January 6, 2019 at Elmcroft of Chippewa.

 

Born July 28, 1917 to the late John Matthew and Freda Rau in Mars, PA. She enjoyed crochet, needle point and puzzles, as well as reading mystery and suspense books, her favorite being by James Patterson. She had so much love for her family and looked forward to hearing what they were up to. 

 

She is survived by her son James W. Rieseck, Columbia Station, OH. Three grandchildren; Meredith (Gary) Terracio, Patterson Twp., PA, Zachary (Julie) Rieseck, Columbia Station, OH, John Rieseck, Rock Hill, SC. Great-grandchildren; Amanda Terracio, Angela Rieseck, Kaiden Rieseck, Kamryn Rieseck. A brother, Tom Matthews, Pittsburgh, PA. Daughters-in-law; Regina Rieseck and Cynthia Rieseck.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Rieseck, 2 sons; Raymond J. and Joseph H. Rieseck, and a daughter-in-law; Donna Rieseck.

 

Friends are invited to attend a viewing on Wednesday, January 9th from 3-7 PM at the Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010, with morning prayers on Thursday at 9:20 AM at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Saint Monica Parish, 116 Thorndale Drive, Beaver Falls, PA. Entombment will follow at the Williamsburg Chapel Mausoleum.

 

The family would like to give a special thanks to Grain Hospice & Elmcroft for their love and care for Midge, especially Amber, Wynone and Carol.
