Obituary of Angeline Tanner

Please share a memory of Angeline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Angeline Tanner, age 102, of Beaver Falls passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Cambridge Village in Patterson Township. She was born May 25, 1916 in Beaver Falls, PA.

Angeline was the daughter of the late Joseph Corsetti and Lyberta Marnicio. Mrs. Tanner was married to Glenn Tanner for almost forty years until his passing on December 2, 1981.

Mrs. Tanner being one of the oldest of her siblings attended high school until 10th grade but had to put her schooling aside, like so many others, to help her family during the “Great Depression.” Angeline became a homemaker at a very young age which helped mold her into the loving mother and wife she would become; along with a fighter’s spirit and a “Don’t Quit” attitude. Mrs. Tanner loved to cook and held the secret to the best spaghetti sauce around. Angeline loved the challenge of crossword puzzles and had the uncanny ability to remember everyone’s birthday and anniversaries.

Angeline is survived by her daughter, Barbara Tanner (Raymond Shulman); London, England, son, Richard Tanner; Patterson Twp, Sister-in-law, Thelda Tanner (Paul-deceased); Weslaco, TX as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Angeline is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Philip and Peter Corsetti, 5 sisters, Mary Toto, Concey Beres, Rose Sugar, Ann Portman, and Jean Haddox, niece, Mary Lou Dorick and a niece, Shirley Bielicki.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM and funeral services will be held Thursday at 10AM with the Pastor Bey Allen from Riverview United Methodist Church officiating in the Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp.

Richard Tanner, son of Mrs. Tanner would like to extend his deepest gratitude to the staff of Cambridge Village for their professional and loving care they provided to his mother, Angeline.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America 322 8th Avenue 7th Floor New York, NY 10001.
