Obituary of Madelyn Irene Adams
Madelyn "Madge" Irene Adams, 95 of Darlington died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the Reformed Presbyterian Home in Pittsburgh, PA.
Born September 30, 1922 in Clarinda, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Homer Dudley and Bessie (McCalla) Woods and the wife of the late Roy M. Adams who died March 26, 2003. She was a member of the Eastvale Reformed Presbyterian Church and lead the Coffee Break Bible Studies and was active in the Geneva Alumni activities.
She is survived by her four sons and three daughters-in-law: Melville Adams, Ph.D. Huntsville, AL, Renwick (Norma) Adams, Clarinda, Iowa, Dr. Jonathan (Kathryn) Adams, State College, PA, and Joel Adams, Ph.D. and his wife Barbara, Ph.D., Grand Rapids, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; Heather (Travis) Hunter, Taresa Adams, George (Amanda) Adams,Anthony (Aurora) Adams, Melody (John) Schwab, Ashley (Jayson) Ewer, Sarah Adams, Jordan (Blair) Adams, Anne (Sean) McPherson, Roy and Ian Adams. great-grandchildren: Mason West, Paige Cody, Corban, Maya and Sean Hunter, Caden, Simon and Lilly Adams, Archer Adams, Jackson Wheeler Schwab, Jonathan, Isaac and Eve Ewer and Samuel McPherson; and multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Woods; two sisters; Eleanor Blair and Norma White, a grandson, Timothy Adams; and a great-grandson, Seth Adams.
Friends will be received today, August 17, 2018 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road, services will be held Saturday at 10:00am in the College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church, 3217 College Ave, Beaver Falls, PA with the Rev. Micah Ramsey of the Eastvale Reformed Presbyterian Church officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the church for the services.
Interment will follow in the Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery, New Galilee, PA.
