George E. "Bud" Knouse, 89, of Chippewa Township died Sunday, August 5, 2018 in his residence.

 

Born January 5, 1929 in Swengel, PA, he was the son of the late George S. and Verna (Knauss) Knouse , he had worked as a Personnel Manager in Human Resources for Standard Steel Specialty in West Mayfield before retiring. He had been a member of the YMCA and Odd Fellows and enjoyed golfing. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Air Force

 

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, June (Gray) Knouse; two children; Rick D. ( Marianne)  Knouse, Chippewa and Ron A. (Cathy) Knouse, Freestone County, TX; three grandchildren: Cameron J. Knouse, Katie E. Knouse, and Dixon G. (Paige) Knouse; three brothers and a sister: Ken (Betsy) Knouse, Moon Twp., Betty Ann Todd, Marana, AZ, Bob (Carol) Knouse, Houston, PA , and Larry Knouse, Freedom, PA; a sister in law; Sue Knouse, Freedom, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.   

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Bishop and a brother, James W. Knouse.

 

Friends will be received Friday, August 10th, 2-4 and 6-8pm in the Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road where services will be conducted on Saturday, August 11th at 11:00am. Officiating will be  Rev. Collene Carney of the Monacrest Free Methodist Church.

 

Private interment will be in The National Cemetery of The Allehenies, Bridgeville, PA
