Mrs. Dollymae Hecker, 90 of Seymour, IN passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018.

 

She was born in Rochester, PA on May 27, 1928 to Ira B and Hannah (Kirschler) Daman. On September 25, 1954, she married Paul A. Hecker; who still survives. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Beaver Falls, PA since 1963. She worked as a church secretary for several years and continued to volunteer in many capacities. She also worked as a secretary at Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill in Beaver Falls.

 

She enjoyed being a mom and homemaker, taking care of her husband and family at their home in Darlington, PA where they lived for 55 years until moving to Seymour, IN in 2016. Dollymae enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She enjoyed crafts and volunteering for many organizations including the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

 

Dollymae is survived by her husband Paul; children, Paul D. Hecker, Donna (Rev, Andrew) Currao; grandchildren Hannah (Clayton) Klosterman, Emily (Nick) Nehrt, and Abigail Currao; Great-grandchild Evelyn Nehrt and many beloved nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters; Lillian Lutz, Gladys Thellman, Dorothy Reed; brothers, Ira Daman, Elmer Daman, Herbert Daman, Roy Daman, Melvin Daman and a nephew David Lutz.

 

Family and friends will be received at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church on Friday, July 6th from 11:30AM until time of service at 1:00PM with Reverend Eric Ash officiating.

 

Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls, PA.

 

Memorials may be written to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Chippewa, PA; Lutheran Community Home, Seymour, IN; Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour, IN, and Trinity Lutheran High School, Seymour, IN.

 

Local arrangements are being handled by Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
