Obituary of Robert A. Schneider

Robert A. Schneider, 87, of Patterson Township died Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born August 22, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Eberle) Schneider. He was a security guard for Allegheny county Sanitary Authority and a member of St. Monica Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Dorothy M.(Scherer) Schneider of Patterson Twp.; six children: Rick Schneider, Sandy Srsic, Mike (Diane) Schneider, all of Pittsburgh, Mary Ann (Bill) Harris, Wexford, PA, Bobbi (Gary) Keeling, Harmony, PA, Terri (Mark) Carter, Chippewa Twp.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother Joseph Schneider, Pittsburgh; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Rotthoff, and  two brothers, Paul and Ralph Schneider.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2-5 PM and 6-8 PM in Campbells Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road, where prayers will be recited on Tuesday at 9:20 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Monica Roman Catholic Church in Chippewa Twp., celebrated by Reverend Father Kim Schreck.

Interment will be in St. Boniface and  St. Joseph's Cemetery, North Side, PA.
