Rick was a best friend growing up. We did everything together. I last saw him at a class reunion many years ago.
I have looked for him many times over the last year, trying to find him online a through Ellwood friends, to no avail.I thought about again last week and discovered I was one day late.
I will never forget our friendship.

Richard had a way with words that brightened the entire room. He encouraged so many to start their recovery journey and when they could not he held their Hope when they were unable to hold it for themselves. He was a man of many talents, one of his biggest strengths he shared with many was his kindness and empathy.
I feel very blessed to have known and worked along side of Richard while he was employed at Warren State Hospital
My sincere condolences to Richard's family and friends

Godfather,
Though there are tears while I am writing this today, they are not just tears of sorrow, but Happiness and joy as the memories go through my head. We had a special bond from the beginning. I will Always remember you mentoring us and of course playing Basketball at the Bell community center. Even when you coached me, i was horrible, but you never let me know it. We often would talk of getting together and no doubt we always had the best intentions but somehow are plans would always change or things didn't work out. But we enjoyed plenty of good times together. Our love for each other was truly unconditional, good times and bad, no judgement. That was the bond we shared over the years. You were not the typical godfather.....In the Italian sense, you had a lot of soul, I sometimes wondered if we should have done a DNA test to see where you got that from, I mean, you even walked with a little Jive, kind of your signature. Antoinette used to think we were a lot a like, in good ways and in bad ways. I believe that was true for sure. Megan reminded me, you said it best, "we were cut from the same cloth".
You Truly are a special person to me and I will think of you often.
You will surely be missed but always be loved and kept in my prayers,
Please watch over me.
My Mentor, My Friend, My Godfather
Your Godson,
Frankie

My sincere condolences to Mr. Richard Family. I met him at FSWP, where he actually went tooth and nails to hire me:) He was so nice, loving, and kind. I gave him the nickname "Cool Breeze". Him and I spoke to each, prayed for one another, and encouraged others because we both had a form of cancer. I'm praying for you all, and Mr. Richard "Cool Breeze" will definitely be missed. Blessings

I am very sorry to read about Richard's passing. In the Bible often compares death to sleep (John 11:11-14) God can awaken the dead just as we awake a person from sleep. Job 14:13-15.
