Betty J. Steffen, 90, formerly of Beaver Falls and a resident of Myerstown, was called home, Saturday, March 24, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 23, 1928 in Rochester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Cecil A. and Norma (Whistler) Manuel. She was a custodian at the College Hill Methodist Church, Beaver Falls, retiring on November 30, 1991 with 19 years of service. Betty was a 69 year member of Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beaver Falls, where she served 5 years with the Soup Kitchen Ministry and was active with dinners and luncheons and served as Committee Head of Homebound Communion. After their relocation to Lebanon PA, they attended Friedens Lutheran church in Myerstown, PA. Betty is survived by her husband of 68 years, J. Keith Steffen, whom she married on April 22, 1949, a son and daughter in law, Gary and Karen Steffen of Syracuse, NY, a daughter and son in law, Penny and Lee Anske of Myerstown PA, three grandchildren, Mark Steffen of Mebane, NC, Sarah and husband Tim Heron of Baldwinsville, NY, and Emma Bartolomei of Myerstown, PA, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Manuel and niece, Debbie Manuel. Friends will be received Friday, March 30, 2018 from 6-8pm in A. D. Campbells Funeral Home, 14th Street and 8th Ave. Additional visitation will be in Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 12:30PM until the time of service at 1PM. Rev. Kim Rapczak will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 409 11th Street, Beaver Falls, PA 150140. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp.
