The daughter of the late Robert Wayne Van Kirk and Hilda Mae (Conners) Van Kirk was a high school graduate from Darlington High School. Gloria enjoyed her family, especially life's simple pleasures with her husband of 55 years, Harry Wayne Dillan, up until his death in 2008.
Gloria provided loving support and care to many of her family members throughout her life, above all caring for her late husband Harry during his time of need. Gloria was often concerned about the welfare of friends and relatives in her life, including even the caregivers who were providing help to her in Michigan.
Gloria enjoyed antiquing, flea markets, collectables and shopping for bargains, especially for clothes and jewelry. Gloria loved animals, especially horses and dogs. While living in Michigan she especially enjoyed visits from the family pug Lola, who lovingly comforted Gloria when she needed it and was always able to put a smile on her face..
Gloria was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Darlington, PA. Her faith in Jesus Christ was strong and unwavering throughout life. She spent most of her life in the Darlington/Chippewa area of western Pennsylvania, but moved 3 years ago to Traverse City, Michigan to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law.
